3 Great Tips for a Fun Hunting Trip

If you are a planning a hunting trip in Bulgaria, then this article is right for you! I have listed a few great tips on how to prepare for the hunting trip of your life. A lot of the new and not so inexperienced hunters have almost no idea how to prepare for that. They don’t have a clue what things to pack and often end up carrying useless stuff. Newbie hunters also don’t know how exactly to dress for a hunt and what season to pick. So, let’s tackle this hunting lesson now!

1. Pick the right clothes!

And I really mean it. Dressing like a Special Forces soldier is not an option. A lot of newbie hunters wear the same camouflage clothes on a hunting trip. They don’t pick the right color that matches the terrain they are hunting on. Wearing green camo in the winter when there is snow might make you look cool, but will also help game spot you from kilometers! Remember to always try to blend with the environment.

2. Clothing and Shoes

Wearing durable and comfortable clothes and shoes is an absolute must. Hunting trips often involve days of walking, ducking and even running. Imagine how unpleasant it would be if your jacket, for example, doesn’t dry off quickly when wet or get’s torn apart by a bush. High-tech fabrics are the best of the best when it comes to hunting clothes. High quality hunting clothing is usually made out of base layers with added silver or another kind of anti-bacterial material that comes in handy to keep the scent down. After all, you don’t want the game to be able to smell you from far, right?
As for the shoes, pick a model that’s specially designed for hunting trips. These models are lighter than the normal ones and also more durable. However, all that comes at a price!

3. The Backpack

The backpack is one of the most important equipment pieces of a hunter! After all, everything that you need for a hunting trip is stored in it. Extended trips require a massive backpack, usually one bigger than 0.11 m3. However, internal frame backpacks are the best choice when it comes to carrying the shot animals. It’s not uncommon for hunters to carry at least 20kg when packing out game. Proper load positioning is also important. The right backpack will keep unnecessary pressure of your spine and will prevent back pain. So, don’t save money on that inventory piece!
